Culligan International, US based, headquarter in USA, Aisa purchasing center in Shanghai, world-leading company on water treatment for both residential and commercial markets, is currently seeking a Sourcing Project Engineer/ Manager in the Culligan China Shanghai office.

Job Summary:

The Sourcing Project Engineer will be responsible for managing new sourcing project or new outsourcing product from start to implementation, support to select a qualified supplier, develop a project schedule with milestone deliverables, support cost negotiation to meet company targets, design qualification and production ramp up plan. To lead the project for successful launch or transfer

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

® Support new suppliers audit and approval with SQE/SQM, help develop new suppliers base on new sourcing project requirement and company strategies

® Develop new sourcing project schedule, drive suppliers on milestone deliverables

® Manage new sample and tooling qualification schedules, FAI and PPAP reviews

® Manage suppliers with SQE team on SOP and quality control plan review & approval

® Work with US manufacturing & project management team on new function tester and fixture development Develop and approve the fixture for production line.

® Support to resolve quality failure with SQE on new sourcing project, to minimize delivery impact

® Support supplier on new sourcing project material planning and production schedule

® Download BOM and drawings from Arena, check and review, confirm with US. Release BOM and drawing to the supplier, explain on product specification and quality requirement. Request for quotation and follow up.

® Review quotation, negotiate on price and lead-time for approval.

® Follow up samples and FPR report for Rosemont approval on FPR and PPAP

® Arrange and join the trial run at supplier side. Review WI Control Plan and upload to Arena for QA’s final approval. Check FAI samples and submit samples to US for final approval.

® Work out a ramp up plan after the product approved. Follow up the implementation of engineer change request from Rosemont.

® Work with SQE to analysis quality issues, follow up the corrective actions and result with supplier.

Job Requirements:

® This position requires 4 years engineering

® Interface with internal engineering & product team and potential suppliers regarding technical aspects of the products as well as validation and approval processes.

® Help select and assess potential suppliers, and conduct supplier audit and assessment

® 5 years strategic sourcing experience (direct sourcing). Proven track record of successful project management

® Excellent time management, project scheduling with contingency plans.

® N.A. and European international business exposure – good communication with difference cultures

® Self-motivated with high energy, strong problem solving skills

® Good oral and written communication skills in English and Chinese

® Good team player, details oriented and results driven.

® Candidates must have strong experience on project management with engineering or manufacturing background.
