Manage the assigned commodities within the regional mechanical components. Engage with internal stakeholders from APAC region to capture commodity requirements and ensure supplier qualification and supplier performance. Responsible for developing & executing a detailed commodity strategy. Conduct or support negotiations, supplier selection and contracting. Responsible for delivering commodity productivity through price, value analysis (VA) or continuous improvement projects. Identify & execute pipeline of value creation projects focused on improving the customer experience, reducing total cost, improving cash flow and generating incremental revenue with our supplier partners. Lead innovation discussions and identify NPD/I opportunities with them.

Lead Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) and quarterly supplier reviews for all strategic suppliers within commodity. Responsible for commodity continuity of supply including actively monitoring and mitigating supplier risk.

The financial impact of this role includes managing the commodity spend growing significantly year over year, delivering productivity of at least 4% annually; along with securing supplier resources & investment to support potential revenue growth of 20% per year in related products.


Job Responsibilities

? Manage the assigned commodities within the regional mechanical components.

? Engage with regional sourced product procurement managers and other internal stakeholders to capture business needs and specific commodity requirements and ensure supplier qualification and supplier performance.

? Responsible for developing, communicating and executing detailed commodity strategy:

? Assess opportunity for commodity including spend segmentation, commodity maturity, cost drivers, and supply market analysis

? Develop Sourcing Strategy for commodity detailing projects, sourcing levers, timing, resources, and expected benefits

? Accountable for execution of sourcing projects including RFx, continuous improvement, consolidation, etc.

? Responsible for defining negotiations strategy including supplier profiles, commercial negotiations targets, defining switching costs, and building Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)

? Conduct or support negotiations and supplier selection - accountable for contract lifecycle management and compliance

? Identify & execute pipeline of value creation projects focused on improving the customer experience, reducing total cost, improving cash flow and generating incremental revenue with our supplier partners.

? Responsible for delivering commodity productivity through price, value analysis (VA) or continuous improvement projects. Partner with engineering, supplier development and logistics.

? Lead Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) and quarterly supplier reviews for all strategic suppliers within commodity.

? Responsible for commodity continuity of supply. Engage with plants to efficiently resolve escalated issues and formally manage and secure supplier capacity.

? Actively monitor and mitigate supplier risk including financial, capacity, quality, and compliance

? Responsible for forecasting, reporting, mitigating, and recovery of commodity inflation

? Support Quarterly Commodity Reviews (QCR) including updated projects, metrics, strategy, and countermeasures

? Partner with SSM and regional PPM teams to implement or efficiently transition suppliers as needed.

? Lead innovation discussions and identify NPD/I opportunities with our mechanical parts supply partners.


Job Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

? Min. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or related field

? 5 to 7 years procurement sourcing experience, consulting, buyer, and/or analyst experience

? Experience with related commodities, stamping, casting, precision casting, machining, fasteners.

? Demonstrate competence in negotiating skills and assessing vendors.

? Candidate must have demonstrated experience coordinating, facilitating discussions, consultation and conflict resolution skills

? Professional communication in English language; both verbal and written are required.

? Ability to travel up to 40%
