As a Sourcing Engineer, you will be responsible for local servo motor business direct and indirect material sourcing tasks, manage and development reliable suppliers, ensure suitable quality level, cost level and delivery performance, for Motion Business Area in Shanghai, China.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will coordinate with local, regional and global resources to execute sourcing plans for local servo motor business.

Your responsibilities

• Coordinating with local, regional and global resources to execute sourcing plans for local servo motor business and sourcing strategies implementation
• Ensuring supplier/materials development and management, supplier capacity and lead time management
• Ensuring supplier risk, relationship and sustainability management
• Implementing cost reduction action
• Investigating supply market and commodity cost benchmark implementation
• Investigating and implementing Supplier footprint
• Cooperating & coordinating with global category and commodity manager for optimized supply chain
• Supporting supplier contract coverage and Supplier qualification

Your background

• 5 years of experience (majority in SCM) in a multicultural environment, good diecasting, machining, and electrical parts sourcing experience in manufacturing industry, motor/generator industry are preferred
• Good experience of problem solving and capable of leading and learning
• A bachelor’s degree or above, major in Mechanical Engineering or Mould or Supply Chain Management
• Fluency in oral and written English communication skills
