As a Sourcing Engineer you will be responsible for making sure the process in compliance with ABB company’s policy, in Robotics & Discrete Automation Business Area in Shanghai, China.

Reporting to the Procurement & Logistics Specialist, you will lead commercial negotiation with suppliers and make sure we have the most competitive price.

Your responsibilities

• Making sure the process in compliance with ABB company’s policy
• Maintaining the key supplier’s base for the dedicated commodity
• Maintaining the commodity price list for the key suppliers
• Controlling PO, including material following up
• Supporting Ariba process
• Leading commercial negotiation with suppliers and make sure we have the most competitive price
• Coordinating between: Project Team/SCM/Suppliers
• Coordinating with GCM for GFA negotiation and signing

Your background

• 5 years of experience as design engineer and quality engineer with international terms of trade and payment
• Highly skilled at MS office
• A bachelor’s degree in mechanical/electrical engineering or business management
• Excellent English skills (spoken and written)
• “Integrity” is highly desirable while dealing with people within the organization and suppliers
• Must have the ability to influence while negotiating and the charisma to engage and motivate people
• Shall be a good presenter and must have “Can Do” attitude
