As a co-op within Bayer Digital Diagnostics, you will be an important member of the software implementation team. You will work with colleagues in all aspects of the full software development life cycle, from gathering requirements, designing and implementing specifications, testing, debugging, and deployment of our product, Radimetrics. Develop software for estimating and tracking radiation exposure in medical imaging.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role, Co-op Software Developer, are to:
- Develop interfaces for consumption of derived data;
- Perform integration, tests, validation, maintenance and updates of the software;
- Work with clinical specialists to validate and improve the software;
- Write documentation on features being developed;
- Communicate design progress, participating in development meetings.

Required Qualifications:
- Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program, with the completion of Sophomore year of undergraduate studies
- Must be a full-time continuing student (i.e., enrolled in school for the next term);
- Must be able to work full time (40 hours per week) during the co-op program;
- Object Oriented programming and ability to program in Java;
- Good communication, spirit and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency with SQL;
- Experience with React.js or other web development will be beneficial
- Degree discipline in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering Science (Biomedical) or Engineering Science (Electrical and Computer).
