You will be working on decision automation within the Oracle customer experience application suite, working with the Intelligent Advisor product team, and getting immersed into our devops culture to deliver self-monitoring dynamic solutions that will scale to whatever our customers require.

In this role you will:
- Work with a global team, including key staff located in Canberra Australia, to develop and maintain highly scalable application software written in Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, SQL and more
- Understand the components of the market leading Intelligent Advisor application, its configuration, and how to extend it to add new capabilities
- Build features that span the front to back end of the application, including user interface, web services, APIs and database interaction
- Troubleshoot issues in close collaboration with the world class Intelligent Advisor development team
- Adopt best practices for automated testing and continuous software delivery
- Suggest and implement improvements to help instrument, diagnose and streamline the Intelligent Advisor application when running at enterprise scale
Intelligent Advisor is used by banks, governments and other customers both large and small in over 80 different countries. Intelligent Advisor is cool tech - as a non-technical user you can describe business rules in more than 20 different languages, and be confident they are going to deliver the decisions you need them to. Intelligent Advisor is recognized within Oracle as a jewel in our portfolio. Intelligent Advisor is currently going through a major period of investment to adopt latest generation technologies. Ongoing areas of research include incorporating artificial intelligence into the Intelligent Advisor product line to identify opportunities for performance improvements, automatic scaling and advanced self-monitoring capabilities, and building a next generation user experience for the authoring of rules and advice experiences.
To be successful in this role, you will have at least 3 years hands on commercial experience with different technologies, a passion for seeing what you build be used by customers around the world, and be looking to grow in a role where your technical skills will continue to be stretched and challenged.

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.
As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.
Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.
