Job Description
Line Supervisor/Manager: Site Manager
Technical Authority: DGSC QHS&E Manager
Principal Purpose:
To support the Site Manager in providing efficient and cost effective implementation and management of site quality system.
- QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Minimum Qualifications
Certificate; Engineering Craft or equivalent or recognised craft apprenticeship - Preferred Qualifications
Degree in Quality/Engineering. - Experience
2 years in Quality Function
5 years in Mechanical and Power Industry Sector - KEY COMPETENCIES
- Knowledge and understanding of BS EN ISO 9000 series quality standard
- Knowledge and understanding of Doosan Babcock quality system
- Knowledge and understanding of relevant codes and standards (e.g. ASME 1)
- Knowledge and understanding of Health, Safety and Environmental obligations as related to products and services
- Effective application of BS EN ISO 9000 series quality standard
- Effective application of Doosan Babcock quality system
- Effective application of relevant codes and standards (e.g. ASME 1)
- Effective application of Health, Safety and Environmental obligations as related to products and services
- Knowledge, understanding and effective application of audit requirements
- Effective communication skills
- Effective report writing skills
- Effective document management
- PC skills
- KEY DUTIES
- Actively promote quality system awareness
- Carry out site quality inductions for all site personnel
- Prepare quality technical schedules, quality plans and site-specific quality procedures for review and approval by Principal Quality Leader
- Review subcontractor quality plans and procedures
- Control receipt, registration and issue of contract approved documentation, which has an impact on quality
- Prepare and implement audit schedules for subcontractor works
- Identify non-conformances and expedite corrective and preventative measures in a timely manner
- Raise technical queries when appropriate and ensure feedback to function concerned
- Review and maintenance of adequate quality records
- Management of site “quality” resources
- Investigation and resolution of site quality problems
- Liaison with client representative to establish customer satisfaction/complaint
- Monitoring and reporting of quality performance to Principal Quality Leader at required intervals
- Monitoring and reporting of Supplier and Subcontractor performance
- Regular and effective communications with site management on quality issues
- Evaluation of quality system processes and recommendation of improvements
- KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Provide efficient and cost effective implementation of site quality management system in accordance with contract requirements and Company procedures
- Provide “value added” input to quality system improvement processes
- Provide effective resolution to site quality problems
- Achieve tasks and targets set by line manager
- Achieve tasks and targets set by function head “Technical Authority”
- Maintain the Professional Development Record (PDR)
