Job Description

General Responsibilities:  

  • Consult with site manager(s), HR, and trainers to determine site training goals, approaches, and needs.
  • Understand and consider any regulations, requirements or factors that must be maintained for licensing, compliance, or reporting.
  • Complete the global Albemarle University standardized certification process to attain access to the Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Administration of the hourly progression program
  • Assign Computer Based Training (OSHA Regulated, Pay Progression modules, Process Overviews, Instructor Led Trainings) and other computer-based curricula as designated.
  • Maintain employee transcripts within the LMS
  • Based on consultations, build training schemes within the LMS that support site goals
    • Onboarding (for different groups)
    • Progressions
    • Certifications
    • Matrix
    • Ad hoc
  • Create assignments within LMS for employees that ensures all regulatory, compliance, and policy required training is properly assigned, tracked, and completed. As well as any required refresher training occurs as needed to meet regulations and policy.
  • Overall administration of the LMS to include but not limited to the following: 
    • Ability to create, add, and update the LMS system
    • Create new or update existing curricula
    • Create new or update certifications
    • Reporting
    • Search for users and check transcripts
    • Provide troubleshooting assistance to employees when issues arise
    • Guide employees on how to access and use the LMS
    • Guide managers on how to monitor the training of their employees.
    • Edit course details and work closely with subject matter experts at the site when needed to identify gaps and develop solutions.
    • Ensure training programs are delivered in accordance and align with our Learning Governance framework and company objectives.
    • Uphold the naming convention and style guide for all content in the LMS
    • SCORM materials to load into LMS.  Ability to use Articulate or another program capable of producing SCORM compliant training courses
    • Have the basic knowledge of best practices for training design and delivery.
    • Review course catalog and inactivate old versions of materials, tests, etc.
    • Remove withdrawn sessions and courses from employees’ transcripts when not needed.
    • Maintain the tracking of contractor training with Albemarle University

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Experience with a learning management system (Cornerstone preferred)
  • Overall employee relations' capabilities and communication skills
  • Strong computer and analytical skills
  • Knowledge or experience with documentation and records compliance within a regulated industry
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Sharepoint and other document management platforms
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to maintain collaborative partnerships
  • Independent, pro-active and self-starter
  • Ability to manage multiple activities with varied scope, schedule, and priority
  • Strong safety and environmental commitment

Desirable qualifications:

  • A business or technical degree
  • Plant experience in a manufacturing environment
