Eaton’s North American Sales Division is currently seeking a Service Sales Specialist – Data Centers to join our team. This position is based at our Fenton, MO location. Relocation assistance will be offered. Position Overview: The primary responsibility includes achieving assigned sales quota through the technical marketing and sale of Eaton Power Quality services to electrical engineers, electrical contractors and end users. It requires the ability to proactively target projects and/or leveraging industry relationships to position Eaton as a preferred service provider. One must demonstrate and deliver exceptional customer service, technical competencies and ability to network within the industry. In this function you will: Provide leadership and guidance on the application of Eaton power quality service offerings Develop and support long-time customer relationships based on customer needs Develop and complete service quotations and proposals Provide service presentations Work closely with Eaton power chain program and Eaton major accounts executives Review service requirements and provide sales strategies and guidance Provide internal project management as needed Understand competitor’s offerings Forecast sales, budget and quota responsibilities Possess a high level of confidence to cold call or call on prospective end users and customers Schedule and conduct face-to-face visits with customers – several per week Develop quotations quickly and accurately Convince customers of the value of Eaton’s services When we embrace the different ideas, perspectives and backgrounds that make each of us unique, we — as individuals and as a company — are stronger. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is required Minimum three (3) years' experience in a technical sales role within the data center industry or segment Must possess a valid and unrestricted driver’s license Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or Engineering from an accredited institution Knowledge of three phase UPS and related battery services Contract negotiation experience Position Criteria: Knowledge of competitors and market conditions is important Must have a sense of urgency when dealing with customer requests Must be self-motivated Must be able to work in a team selling approach Strong interpersonal skills Excellent written and oral communication skills Strong organizational skills Proven organizational and multi-tasking skills, with the ability to effectively prioritize and balance workload Strong computer skills with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and the Internet Excellent problem-solving skills Ability to travel up to 10% We are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
