About The Role:

As a senior UX designer you will work closely with Product Managers and Product Owners to develop a high level User Experience vision and strategy for our Aerospace and Defense product line with a specific focus on user research, visual design and interaction design for web and mobile interfaces.  You will support multiple SCRUM teams as you apply an iterative user centered design process. As part of this process, you will create design concepts and solutions for specified problems (sketches, wireframes, and paper prototypes) and iteratively test, validate, and refine design concepts and prototypes with users and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in designing user experience for web and  mobile based business applications and responsive and adaptive UX design
  • Experience in using visual user interface design tools such as Sketch, Adobe Photoshop, or Adobe Fireworks
  • Experience in compelling UX design concepts, mockups, wireframes, and prototypes using tools such as Figma, Axure, Invision or others
  • Strong knowledge of methods and techniques in information architecture, user research, interaction design, visual UI design, and usability testing  in the context of responsive web applications
  • Capability to iteratively create and test design ideas and concepts
  • Good understanding of current web and mobile UI technologies, trends, and concepts
  • Experience with UX design in an agile development environment.
  • Team-player with strong interpersonal skills comfortable working as part of distributed team
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues in individual and group settings
  • Degree in Computer Science or related field

As a plus

  • Experience in publishing or content management
  • Experience in Aerospace and Defense industry
  • Experience with JavaScript, REST, HTML5, CSS3, Ajax, jQuery, XML, XSL
  • Experience with Jira/Confluence
  • Experience with front-end development
