BJUCD is seeking a creative, highly talented Senior Tunnel Engineer for immediate employment in BEIJING, BJUCD office.

The responsibilities of this position include, but not limited to:

• Plan, organize, and lead project teams in the delivery, design, and documentation of project requirements for international large transit, highways, water and wastewater tunnels
• 15+ years’ experience in the tunnel design and/or seismic design of underground structures following European Norm (EN) / British Standards/ American Standards or relevant international standards.( Mid-east project working experience is preferred)
• Technical experience with multiple types of tunnel construction methods including bored, mined/SEM/NATM, drill and blast, cut and cover, and shaft sinking.
• Good Knowledge of Geotechnical, geology and Rock mechanics
• Good knowledge and experience with analytical and numerical analysis methods for underground and tunnel.
• Hands-on experience and experience supervising others in the use geotechnical and tunneling modeling software such as PLAXIS, UDEC, 3DEC or FLAC.
• Perform design and analysis using various industry standard engineering software for underground structures, excavations, foundations, seismic site response analyses, slopes, and, etc
• Prepare design reports, design calculations, drawings and specifications
• Assist with administrative responsibilities or management support as assigned by team leader

Qualifications

• Preference will be given to candidates with a Master’s Degree in Civil (structural or geotechnical) Tunneling, Mining, or Geological Engineering
• Demonstrate a strong knowledge in structural and soil/rock-structure interaction design
• PE License
• Experience in supervising site works and performing site design changes
• 15+ years’ experience of experience in tunnel engineering and/ or geo-structural design with proven record of delivering project plans, analyses, design and preparation of deliverables for infrastructure and building projects.
• Familiarity with soil-structure interaction and rock mechanics problems in a variety of geological environments.
• Must have excellent oral and written skills in English
