Systems Engineer responsible for developing systems deliverables for medical devices with experience in interfacing with and transferring designs to manufacturing and service organizations.
Responsibilities:
Resolve difficult problems focused on requirements, use cases, architecture, subsystem interfaces, verification and interfacing with cross functional teams such as hardware, software, manufacturing and service. Educating and mentoring the Systems Engineers in interfacing with and transferring designs to manufacturing and service.
Experience/expertise in:
- Developing user needs, requirements, use cases, architecture, interfaces, product control specifications and system configurations/bill of materials.
- Contributing to manufacturing work instructions, preventive maintenance procedures and service procedures.
- Ensure appropriate traceability between system, subsystem, verification/validation and cross functional deliverables
- Working with the risk management experts on risk analysis activities to ensure the identification, documentation and verification of risk controls.
- Resolve competing constraints between interrelated functions (Engineering, Risk Management, Compliance, Reliability, Clinical, Human Factors, Regulatory, Manufacturing and Service)
- Familiarity with medical devices preferred
- Familiarity with DOORs, HP ALM, JIRA preferred
Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in product development.
BS in engineering or equivalent preferred
Must possess strong engineering knowledge and experience in disciplines and design principles in electromechanical devices, preferably Medical Devices or other regulated industry.
Requires strong organization and polished communication skills, with the ability to interface with both technical and non-technical personnel throughout the organization.
