Microsoft Dynamics is a key growing business at Microsoft and considered one of the leaders in software as a service in the world of business applications. Hosted in the Microsoft Development Center in Copenhagen, Dynamics 365 for Supply Chain Management has its main European hub in the Danish capital.

Responsibilities

As Software Engineering Manager, you will own end-to-end delivery of a of business services within the Dynamics 365 portfolio. Your responsibilities will include:
• End-to-end accountability for design, implementation, test, deployment, maintenance and improvement of all features and services delivered by your team
• Leadership and development of a highly motivated and effective engineering team of size 5-8 direct reports
• Developing software that empowers customers to optimize their business processes
• Leading by example, hands-on work expected.
• Playing a leadership role in defining partnerships with other teams within Microsoft
• Defining the technical and operational direction of the team and drive the actual implementations with special emphasis on operating a service, engineering velocity and on ensuring quality through sound engineering processes
• Instilling quality and excellence into the team culture by leading architecture, design, and implementation efforts, actively monitoring the results, and make necessary adjustments
• Driving recruiting efforts, ensuring we’re bringing top talent to the team
• Creating a supportive work environment to foster career and personal developments for team members

Throughout your tasks, you will work closely with cross global teams and organizations with multiple stakeholders/partners to optimize design, quality and functionality as Microsoft places a premium on the ability to work well in a team environment.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate
You have a Software Engineering or Computer Science degree, you have been working in the industry for seven or more years. You have deep technical background, hands-on coding experience, and strong knowledge of computer science, algorithms and design patterns. You have 3+ years of leadership experience, with demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and build a results-oriented development team shipping software products and services. You should have experience with design and implementation of enterprise-scale services, incident management, process and task automation, testing processes, build process, configuration management, release management, and server deployments. Experiences with ERP and Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations are a big plus. In addition, excellent verbal, written, and cross group/organization collaboration and communication skills are essential to succeed in this role. The job’s international aspects and our international work environment require that you are proficient in both written and spoken English.
