This is a Senior Software Engineer role reporting to the R&D Senior Engineer in the Business Area – Motion located in Beijing or Nanjing in China.

Your responsibilities

• Working as part of the Drive Product Servo Drive Product Line R&D department, Servo motion team.
• Developing platform for new generation motion servo.
• Supporting technical requirement specification and concept proofing of new technologies.
• Analyzing customer needs and transferring into technical solutions.
• Leveraging best-practice software engineering processes, utilizing appropriate tools.

Your background

• Bachelor or master’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Automation preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong software development background, familiar with all aspects of the software development life cycle, strong programming skills with C or C++, familiarity with design patterns, experience in developing within embedded operating system environment, RTOS such as ucOS, FreeRTOS, eCos, etc., experience in working with version control tools, for example Git.
• Good English communication skills (in oral and writing) and positive attitude.
• Willing to work Agile software development.
• Experience of working in a scrum environment / development team, experience with modern Software development tools, such as Keil, IAR, visual studio, experience with scripting language such as Python, experienced on Industry application especially Servo or Drives, experienced on FW platform design on industry products, Servo or Drives are preferred.
• Experience of working with industry fieldbus protocol such as EtherCAT, ProfiNet, understanding of SW testing and test automation, international experience (work or study) and willingness to travel domestically, a few weeks per year are good to have.
