Responsibilities
The appointee will lead the Academic Accreditation and Assessment unit of the HKCAAVQ and supervise its day-to-day operations.
Major responsibilities:
- Planning and supervising the operations of Accreditation and Assessment unit, including being responsible for staff development and management;
- Leading accreditation and assessment activities as well as advisory and consultancy services, locally and beyond;
- Leading development work underpinning quality assurance activities related to the Hong Kong Qualifications Framework;
- Leading projects related to the development, monitoring and review of HKCAAVQ’s quality assurance policies, standards, processes, guidelines and procedures;
- Fostering and maintaining relationships with existing and potential clients, locally and internationally;
- Liaising with government bureaux, and local and non-local quality assurance and accreditation bodies; and
- Carrying out management, supervisory and leadership duties as assigned by the Executive Director/Deputy Executive Director (Academic).
Requirements
Applicants should hold at least a first degree comparable to HKQF Level 5 and at least 15 years of post-qualification relevant work experience in the education and training sector, preferably with post-graduate qualification at HKQF Level 6 or above. Experience in quality assurance work would be essential. We are looking for an individual who has a good understanding of the Hong Kong Qualifications Framework and of the academic sector in Hong Kong and beyond. The successful candidate must have strong management skills with abilities to drive change and innovation. Excellent track records in leadership, project development and management are required. Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); good presentation and communication skills are essential. The successful candidate should be proactive, reflective, and independent with foresight as well as a team player.

Initial appointment will normally be made on a two-year contract subject to renewal. We offer competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience, contract-end gratuity, plus fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits.
