What you'll be doing You will support our external clients and the Siemens business in building visions, strategies, and implementation plans to help bring digitalization to life. Our consulting projects are of strategic nature as well as implementation focused and have technology at the core. This specific role focuses on tomorrow’s most complex challenges around Digital Manufacturing. As a Senior Project Manager, you will: Lead project teams to deliver exceptional results to clients in various manufacturing industries. Develop problem statements, derive hypotheses, and identify and manage key stakeholders. Co-create and implement advanced manufacturing solutions with clients at all experience levels, utilizing a combination of lean principles, digitalization, automation technologies and advanced manufacturing solutions. Synthesize findings into a holistic and convincing concept, determine recommendations, and define a seamless storyline framing critical choices executive management must make. Inspire our clients to adopt innovative approaches, tailored to their requirements, and support them during pilot and implementation phases. Coordinate entire projects, establish quality plans, monitor the progress of the project against milestones, manage project risks, and control cost. Transfer knowledge, coach, and motivate managers and consultants with varying backgrounds, expertise, and personalities. Lead thought leadership and business development in a selected vertical, which offers you an opportunity to influence our team's operations and contribute to revenue growth. Travel up to 80% of your time to domestic and international client locations (varies based on project setting with hybrid being predominant mode of working). What it takes 10+ years of experience in consulting, a renowned industrial enterprise or start-up (ideally with a strategic, digital or operations focus) with outstanding performance, manufacturing, and predictive maintenance consulting experience across multiple industries strongly desired; automotive experience and expertise preferred. Degree from a top university with a concentration in either business analytics, finance, strategy, information technology or general management; MBA or advanced degree a plus. Expertise in the discrete manufacturing vertical; experience in the automotive and mobility industry desired. Proven track record in management consulting, including demonstrating insights, expertise and thought leadership. It is expected that this individual will come from - or is an alumnus from - a top-tier strategy consulting firm with respective analytical skills and conceptual thinking. They will also be a “business builder” with experience building practices within consulting firms or commercial businesses. Demonstrated experience in digital transformation, industry 4.0, or information technology. Strong analytical, conceptual, and creative problem-solving skills combined with an entrepreneurial mindset and relevant functional knowledge. Proven ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively to C-level executives (written and spoken) in English and preferably another language. Strong record of leading and inspiring teams and working collaboratively in professional settings. Proven ability to foster a team-oriented environment, build rapport and long-lasting relationships, and share knowledge with others. Professional experience in Siemens key markets such as Europe, the Americas, and the Middle East is highly preferred.
