Job Description

The position requires an experienced executive who is able to effectively kick-start new projects relating to child safeguarding and resilience program. The position reports to the Manager, Hong Kong Programme and Development Education. Applicants with less experience will be considered as Programme Officer.

Responsibilities and duties:

  • Organise and coordinate influencing events such as conferences, symposiums, workshops, etc.
  • Liaise and collaborate with global and local experts to bring insights and collective actions benefiting to the local
  • Maintain a healthy acquisition pipeline of local programmes, including grant proposals and commissioned projects
  • Provide tailored advice to guide effective implementation, and monitor performance through logframe, budget, and closely liaising with programme
  • Ensure efficient reporting and provide regular and timely project updates
  • Develop and maintain effective and efficient stakeholder engagement with work partners, including academics, government officials, professional bodies or local NGOs.
  • Consolidate programme data to support advocacy work including policy recommendations, public awareness and education
  • Work with Partnership Department for fund application, including Programme design, resource mobilisation, and grants management
  • Work with other units in implementing other Plan International’s activities
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

 

 Requirements:

  • Passionate in serving the society and children in adversity.
  • University degree in child development, journalism, social science or related fields.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in non-profit sector or demonstrated knowledge of relevant areas
  • Tracked record in event and conference management
  • Good knowledge of child right, child protection, gender inequality. Demonstrate subject expertise in children psychology is an advantage.
  • Excellent English and Chinese spoken and written communication skills.
  • English requirement: Preferable with Grade C or above in English of HKCEE or 5* in English of HKDSE
  • Highly motivated to child right programmes, quick learner, able to work independently and meet tight deadlines
  • Organised, detailed-minded and demonstrate a can-do attitude
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate with people from different cultural backgrounds are highly desired.
  • Excited in programme development, self-initiated and responsible
  • Immediate available is highly preferred
