Job Description

  • Implementation of large or high complexity local / cross segment or function projects, large or high complexity projects of a program and delivery of benefits
  • Develop the business case and define the benefits realization plan to support the delivery of maximized and sustainable benefits provided by the program
  • Support the Sponsor in the setup of the program to ensure the key requirements are in place, the business case is clearly defined and communicated effectively
  • Conduct strategic forecasting and planning to ensure the strategic vision is aligned with IT capabilities
  • Draw on analysis and broad-scale program evaluations to understand the return on investment and business impact of the program, convey the important relationship of each function / workstream to the overall program
  • Develop new core application to support the business's strategic goals and objectives, its customers or stakeholders to generate business value
  • Establish processes and procedures for maintaining program management oversight and decision-making support for applicable policies and practices (i.e. AXA Project Governance Framework) throughout the program
  • Manage Master Project Plan (including Resources Plan, Project Financial, Requirement plan, IT plan, Testing plan, Change Management Plan, etc...)
  • Interact with each functional project manager / workstream lead to provide support and guidance on individual functions / workstreams to manage program success
  • Lead the project team in establishing program direction, identifying interdependencies, communicating program requirements, tracking progress, making decisions, identifying and mitigating risks and resolving conflicts and issues to drive implementation in line with stakeholder requirement and within agreed parameters
  • Liaise with key stakeholders in order to understand their needs, desires, and expectations, and where necessary negotiate with them in order to drive alignment, manage stakeholder communications, and mitigate / channel stakeholder resistance, to deliver successful program outcomes
  • Facilitate business change and manage vendors
  • Manage the change and stakeholder engagement process through the project life cycle to ensure change / operation readiness
  • Oversee and accountable for the entire program activities end to end and thereby manage program definition, program benefits delivery, and program closure to ensure successful program outcomes
  • Train and mentor the functional project managers
  • Masters degree (or equivalent) or 15+ years of experience in related field
  • 15+ years of experience of which 10 or more years are in project management, including 5 or more years managing programs, with a proven track record of delivery
  • Background in Insurance Industry or Financial Services
