We are seeking an experienced educational evaluation professional to join the Technology-enhanced Teaching team of the Center. The appointee will be responsible for the design and implementation of evaluation studies, and the presentation of findings for eLearning projects at HKUST.
The appointee's main job responsibilities include:
- Design effective evaluation studies and develop surveys, observation framework and interview questions for eLearning projects;
- Manage evaluation workflow and activities, e.g. conduct classroom observations, launch student surveys, carry out stakeholder interviews according to the agreed plans and schedules;
- Provide actionable feedback to teaching staff during classroom observations for immediate refinement;
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis and produce factual, clear and well-structured evaluation reports with findings and actionable recommendations within 4-6 weeks upon eLearning project completion;
- Analyze data across all eLearning projects, identify and provide factual, clear and well-structured reports on common issues and good practices on eLearning; and
- Assist faculty members in publishing or co-authoring papers in related to their eLearning projects.
Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in Education or a related discipline, with a strong interest in and at least 3 years' post-degree working experience in educational evaluation/research in eLearning or teaching development for higher education. A postgraduate research degree in education or a related discipline is an advantage. Applicants should have the following experience/skills:
- Good understanding in teaching for higher education
- Proficiency in quantitative analysis using standard software, such as SPSS
- Ability to perform qualitative analysis is an advantage
- Ability to write factual, clear and well-structured reports in English
- Fluency in written and spoken English as well as spoken Cantonese

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
