The position is dedicated for a oversea client with multi brands. The individual will be assess with fabric knowleadge and product knowleadge, especially with functional sports area.

1. Sourcing and portfolio development

• Evaluate appropriate factories and suppliers to ensure buyer’s pricing and quality constrains are met and business can be increased through enhanced capacity and ability to offer innovative services.
• Conduct Supplier take on meeting or trainings.
• Conduct portfolio development meetings with buyers (through S.A. sourcers) on a regular basis to encourage allocation of additional orders and work to resolve dropped items.
• Negotiate on pricing in order to maximize buyer profitability.
• Relationship managements with buyers and suppliers.
• Organization of vendor roadshow
• Business trip within China for order placement and product development

2. Portfolio management

• Understand buyer’s expectations and direction through regular interactions.
• Briefing the suppliers with detailed information for quote inquiry. Review and consolidate the cost from different suppliers and present to the buyers with suggestions. Re-engineering the garment if necessary in order to meet the buying budget and get the order placement.
• Develop and manage the relations with buyers and suppliers in order to generate sustainable business opportunities.
• Undertake communication for buyers regarding order management, quality and delivery with supplier
• Generate supplier’s portfolio, Keep track of supplier’s performance and assist rehabilitation when necessary.
• Strategic planning to win the programs successfully, which wasn’t placed with sourcing in previous seasons.
• Proactively identify and resolve problems/issues and support Supply chain management

3. Production process management

• Resolves all issues when escalated from the suppliers, including quality assurance issues, styling change, cancellation, pending approvals, logistic issues and etc.
• Monitoring the production process including order placement, approvals of fabric and trims submissions and etc. Production on-line status and schedule review to ensure the on time delivery
• Assisting sample checking, courier sending and collecting supplier’s database or any information required by the sourcers
• Follow up with the supplier on all samples/QA comment and translation
• Follow up C/P with the supplier on week to week basis
• Maintain team C/P and order placements.

4. Qualification/skills

• Able to travel
