Job Duties:

Senior Merchandiser is the key connection who need to coordinate among Buyers/Procurement/Quality/Suppliers for handling all order related issues, including but not limited to following terms:

  • Familiar with US market on furniture products;

  • Plan and administer purchasing activities;

  • Manages, develops and directs the purchasing function and leads a team of subordinates;

  • Identify, develop and analyze new sourcing manufacturers for current and future products ;

  • Develops and ensures close relationship between strategic sourcing and the production facility;

  • Understanding commercial market in terms of price, quality and product;

  • Analyze product categories and opportunities to find new suppliers and challenge current suppliers;

  • Drive the development of the range according to the agreement of the seat;

  • Identify opportunities for direct supply;

  • Negotiate better prices with suppliers in terms of price targets and specifications set by headquarters;

  • Monitor and identify new opportunities for manufacturing;

  • Monitor and evaluate suppliers, samples, production and shipment;

  • Manage monitoring replenishment from suppliers with procurement officers;

  • Conduct regular factory visits;

  • Evaluate the introduction of a new provider to ensure proper documentation and process is finished;

  • Direct Source factories, develop partnerships with key suppliers to negotiate better prices and get flexibilities

  • Negotiate negotiating modalities in company name;

  • Educate and train salespeople in the process, the requirements of performance and quality with the manager in the UK;

  • Ensure compliance with production schedules;

  • Regular conference call with the office team;

  • Manage and automate the database suppliers /products;

  • Ensure the making available of marketing elements on products (HD pictures, assembly instructions in French and Spanish fact sheets in English, Spanish and French).

  • Other assignment related to the position arranged by the superior.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree or above;

  • Good communications and interpersonal skills, be able to perform under pressure and multi-task environment;

  • Commercial, Strategy Development, and Negotiations skills;

  • Results oriented and able to independently create and deliver;

  • Decision Making / Problem Solving;

  • Proficiency in English and good PC literature
