Key Area of Responsibility: 主要职责范围:


  • Supervise team’s merchandising activities from development to samples follow up and in the entire order process to ensure customer satisfaction and on-time delivery ( from product development to production).

  • Establish and monitor the calendar with product development team, to meet the key milestones

  • Well connect with different department in shanghai and HK and probably source materials/trims according to request and submit on time.

  • Response on time to both vendors and customer (within 48 hours)

  • Develop and set up better way of communication method to ensure others recd clear information e.g. excel chart, SOP , PDF, sketches chart, calendar etc

  • Keep record well filed and monitor the information in the entire process ( from development to shipment)

  • Negotiate price with vendors to finalize price with customers

  • Negotiate prices with vendors and confirm orders with customers

  • Develop new packing material, monitoring and tracking approval and price negotiate

  • Resolve sample and product defects and issue with customers and also QA

  • Resolve conflicts between buyers , technical team and factories

  • Handle customers enquriries and complaints

  • Participate actively in buyers meetings and buying trips and willing to travel

  • Sources material, accessories according to the input/direction given by buyers

  • Provide advice on design and samples to meet customers’ requirements

  • Provide alternatives on materials or construction details to customers for cost-effective


  • Supervise the team to enhance service delivery and operation efficiency


  • Join handover meeting to ensure order follow up with vendor and development team,

  • Push tech pack correction for bulk and clarification, send updated tech pack to counterpart and factory Supervise and delegate work to subordinates (depends on local business)

  • Monitoring & tracking quality, color, strike off, handloom and 1st batch approval.

  • Checking sample material and update sample tracking list, monitoring and tracking fit sample and p.p. sample approval after buy confirmation, also ensure comments distribute timely

  • Monitoring and tracking testing report including material and garment and also RSL testing.

  • Review trims cards and approved trims card

  • Submit WIP, late report, shortage report by Pos timely and accurately

  • Support all system related the daily work e.g. Sap, PO maintained, system support , planning, on time key in with late exist reason code and accurately.

  • Complete high level report, late exit reason report and Po# acknowledgement report timely.

  • Work out solutions to problems with subordinates

  • Coordinate with QA department for quality improvement such as join P.P. meeting, in-line inspection and inspection schedule etc.


  • Build and maintain a strong vendor network for product development and production


  • Social compliance follow up

  • Case share with team and with vendor training.

  • Build and maintain strong business relationship with vendors

  • Keep track of vendors performance

  • Follow up with vendors customers, internal parties to ensure customer satisfaction and on time delivery with minimum guidance.

  • Capacity planning with customer’s planning team and vendors to ensure enough capacity


  • Lead team for daily communication and brainstorm discussion for solution on critical issue

  • Frequently factory trip for on site production or development needs especially in HK.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by Management

Minimum Relevant Experience: 相关工作经验的最低数量: 10 year (s) 年

Minimum Supervisory Experience: 从事监管工作经验的最低数量: 4 year (s) 年

Minimum Academic Requirement: 最低学历要求: Clothing, Textile or related discipline
