As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for creating and/or updating mechanical design for Servo drive, in Motion Business Area in Nanjing, China.

Reporting to the R&D Team Manager, you will be supporting internal and external customers in technical challenges.

Your responsibilities

• Being responsible for creating and/or updating mechanical design for Servo drive product development to meet technical requirements & cost, quality & reliability targets
• Generating bill of materials, engineering drawings in 3D and 2D data
• Working together with electronics design, process, manufacturing, testing & verification engineers as well as mechanic tooling and part suppliers in new product development projects
• Supporting internal and external customers in technical challenges

Your background

• 5 years of work experience within mechanical design and/or relevant area, e.g. manufacturing/NPI/EMS
• Experience in structural design of complex industrial products, including sheet metal, plastic, cooling system etc parts
• Experience of thermal simulation and design, static analysis and model analysis
• Understanding on electronics product DFM (design for manufacturing) and DFA (design for assembly), and automated manufacturing
• Sound Knowledge of manufacturing processes including thermoplastic and thermal set molding, metal stamping, extrusion, die casting, packaging
• A Bachelor or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, thermodynamics or similar field is preferred
• Good communication skills in English and Chinese languages (written and spoken)
