Mission and Purpose

  • Planning, coordinating, and executing both user and market research studies including their design, execution, reporting and communication;
  • Operating, managing and optimizing Audi Innovators Circle platform;
  • Designing and leading co-creation brain-storming / ideation projects to identify themes, trends and user needs that inform and inspire design and/or further relevant Audi business units
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to design and deliver new products, services, channels and business models based on trends and user insights;
  • Broadening the network with suitable agencies and innovative people;
  • Exploring and applying new research methodology;
  • Supporting team manager about team strategy development, budget and project steering.


Job Duties and Responsibilities

1. Planning, coordinating, and executing both user and market research studies including their study design, execution, reporting and communication

  • Project management – identify relevant topics, involve different departments and set up projects within different Audi departments and agency
  • Taking over responsibility for a project from the beginning – elaborating the briefing with stakeholders, facilitating the purchasing process, steering the partner agency along the entire project, integrating and aligning with stakeholders, reporting and presenting the results
  • Steering Audi Innovators Circle platform – managing regular research slots, implementing urgent research request, coordinating internal stakeholder about input/roadmap/incentive/IT/legal related topics, communicating both internally and externally, building up long-term & larger scale of customer insight community platform
  • Support the further development of market research methods for Chinese market/customers

2. Designing and leading co-creation brain-storming and/or ideation sessions to identify themes, trends and user needs that inform and inspire relevant Audi business units

  • Identify emerging technologies, business models and startups that would impact auto industries / businesses
  • Proactively search and identify upcoming relevant topics in China
  • Execute work sessions and ideation projects along the customer journey
  • Initiate additional both desk and user research if needed
  • Construct new frameworks and approaches in order to continually improve and drive the innovation process within the organization

3. Broadening the network with suitable agencies and innovative people

  • Continuously track and steer agency quality
  • Regular feedback sessions towards agency partners
  • Maintain personal contacts
  • Establish university cooperation
  • Contact on fairs, conferences and/or social media activities.


Qualifications

Education Background

  • Master in Business Administration or Economics or Social Sciences like Sociology, Psychology or similar
  • Preferred major: Market Research, Statistics

Professional Skills

  • Statistical programs (SPSS, Stata, R)
  • Experiences in all MS-Office programs
  • Background in market research and/or user research (at least two years), human-centred design methodologies for UX research, service design and innovation, analysis of research data and trends for design themes and guidelines, planning and execution
  • Demonstrated understanding of numerous research tools and methodologies
  • Integrated marketing and design strategy background with high level creative, strategic and analytical abilities.
  • Working experience in fast-paced, innovation / design companies or start-ups is a definite plus
  • Affinity to automotive industry
  • Experience in project management
  • Experience in qualitative and quantitative research
