Job Description

Primary Function:

  • Serves as Talent and Organization Consulting (TOC) consultant for SEA (Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand) and ANZ (Australia & New Zealand) to plan, execute and deliver talent and organization strategies and interventions for all divisions and affiliates in this region including:
  • Developing talent and organization strategy to support the execution of business strategy and the unique business needs of the division/affiliate and region.
  • Determining how talent and organization solutions are used to achieve long-term business success and add value to meet organizational needs.
  • Analyzing, designing and delivering a range of talent and organization solutions and designing and implementing performance improvement interventions to meet employee and organizational needs.
  • Builds and sustains productive working relationships with peers in a matrix environment; provides TOC support to the business; represents SEA & ANZ and businesses to TOC; and is a subject matter expert on the businesses and region.
  • Design, develop and execute highly complex or specialized projects. Adapts precedent and may make significant departures from traditional approaches to develop solutions to meet business needs and drive business results.
  • Works as an internal advisor to Business Leaders and Business HR (BHR) Leaders in area of Talent and Organization Development.

Major Responsibilities:

Leads SEA & ANZ Organization Development & Effectiveness projects and assist TOC Director in Regional/Global projects:

  • Work with business leaders and affiliate/division Business HR (BHR) leaders to assess, diagnose, plan and implement strategic talent and organization solutions to support business strategy. This may include organization/ team effectiveness / organization design / organizational capabilities, focus groups and change management.
  • Analyzes business needs; identifies gaps between ideal and actual performance required to meet organizational business needs and determine performance deficiencies; aligns solutions with business goals.
  • Proactively works with Talent Development partners to design and implement talent and organization initiatives and plans.
  • Measures and reports the impact of talent & organization consulting interventions using evaluation, metrics, focus groups and performance results.
  • Driving a culture of continuous improvement and effectiveness through the development of strong relationships with key players.
  • Facilitate workshops/ meetings and other format of interventions as a part of TOC solution.

Leads Talent practices and initiatives for SEA & ANZ and assist TOC Director in Regional/Global projects:

  • Consults and facilitates discussion on talent strategy and Abbott talent practice for SEA & ANZ region according to business/organization needs, provides consulting support to BHR and/or key customers and stakeholders.
  • Partners with BHR directors to design & facilitate Talent Management Review process for divisions/affiliates in the region.
  • Measures and reports the impact of talent interventions using evaluation, metrics and performance results.
  • Designs and executes key talent program for SEA & ANZ to accelerate talent readiness and improve talent pipeline for the region.
  • Consults BHR directors on employee career development interventions as needed by the region.  

Leads Capability building projects and interventions for SEA & ANZ to build a future-ready organization:

  • Conducts training needs analysis for the region to develop training programs that enhance their know-how, skills, and performance.
  • Partners closely with L&D team implement the training plan for SEA & ANZ.
  • Partners with BHR directors to design and execute Capability Building Programs for the region.

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITY / SCOPE:

  • Reports to the TOC Director (Vietnam, SEA & ANZ) and works directly and independently with respective affiliate HR Directors and Division BHR. Professional Level Individual Contributor with comprehensive knowledge and rich experience in HR Talent & Organization Development Consulting area. Interacts and partners with: Business leaders including: General Managers, Site Operations and Quality Leaders, corporate officers and DVPs, other leaders; HR including: Regional / Affiliate BHR and Divisional HR Directors; TOC Consulting Solutions and Talent Development Practice Center colleagues.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in Human Resource, Psychology, Business Management or related disciplines. Masters or MBA preferred
  • 10 years of related experience across Talent & Organization Development / HR Consulting / Business HR
  • Prior experience within Healthcare/Pharma/Medical Devices/FMCG/Internet industry advantageous
  • Strong knowledge and expertise in TOC aspects such as OE, change, culture, etc and benchmarks / insights to anticipate trends, design and deliver innovative TOC impactful services and solutions
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Demonstrated ability to implement the necessary talent and leadership development processes, solutions and actions
