This is a fixed-term contract position of minimum 2 years with possibility for renewal subject to organization need and individual performance.

The incumbent will lead a team of engineering professionals and assist the senior management in Architectural design works, and in ensuring that both the medium and long-term development projects are planned and delivered on schedule to meet the Authority’s targets. He/She will have delegated authority to assist the Principal Manager, Architecture on designated projects and will be responsible for the delegated contractual duties and the initiation of necessary documents to obtain financial approvals.

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring that architectural elements are designed, specified and built to achieve the required standards of aesthetics, materials, workmanship, coordination and environmental performance;
• Reviewing consultants’ designs and contractors’ submissions to ensure compliance with sound architectural principles and required standards;
• Reviewing technical proposals and site works to ensure the required quality, maintenance and safety standards are maintained;
• Reviewing technical submissions for compliance with the statutory and other specified requirements;
• Close liaison and coordination with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure designs meet their requirements; and
• Leading the design process and providing appropriate architectural support during the implementation phase of the design and construction until commissioning.

Requirements:       

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related disciplines
• Professional Qualification in Architecture gained from a recognized professional institution (e.g. HKIA) is required
• At least 15 years’ relevant experience, of which minimum of 8 years should be in project management
• Solid proven hands-on experience in project management of large scale multi-disciplinary construction projects
• Experience in management of airport terminal design and construction works is preferred
• Excellent leadership, problem solving and communication skills
• Excellent command of spoken and written English
• Good command of spoken and written Chinese is an advantage
• Knowledge of BIM and CADD software is an advantage
• Proficiency in MS Office applications and project management software tools
