Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Build and augment collaborations with all stakeholders of the Biomedical Technology (BMT) cluster in Hong Kong Science Park, including but not limited to industry, academia, regulatory bodies, end user groups, capital community, etc.
  • Engage and facilitate BMT companies to implement their product development and go-to-market plan
  • Identify BMT companies’ needs and issues including technical expertise, value chain partners, regulatory advice, marketing, upsell / cross-sell opportunities, and product co-development
  • Create and lead projects to anticipate and solve the needs and issues of BMT companies
  • Manage projects from planning to implementation including budgeting and promotion
  • Track the progress of each project and report the progress and outcome
  • Create a positive experience for BMT companies
  • Organize and conduct outreach activities that might include roadshows, meetings, seminars, conferences and exhibition
  • Attract companies to join the BMT cluster to enhance the R&D ecosystem
  • Prepare board papers wherever applicable
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisors and management


Requirements: -

  • Postgraduate degree in Business Management, Business Administration, Marketing, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Science, Pharmacy, Biomedical Engineering, Biomedical Sciences, Biochemistry, Biology, or business, biomedical, or clinical science discipline
  • Minimum 10 years of working experience related to biomedical technology R&D, manufacturing, clinical trial management, regulatory approval or business development of which 3-5 years in managerial level;  
  • Extensive network with academia, companies, industries, startup communities, investors, government and/or regulatory bodies in the biomedical technology space.
  • Proactive, dynamic, mature with superior interpersonal skills with all levels of staff and external stakeholders and collaborators
  • A proven track record of accomplishment and having a professional network of contacts in the region and overseas
  • A good command of English and Chinese, written and verbal, with excellent presentation skills
