Reporting to the Director of Campus Management, the appointee will oversee all aspects of security management on the Clear Water Bay campus and Tseung Kwan O hostel with an aim to provide quality-assured professional services for campus users and safeguard campus assets. The appointee will be responsible for setting up strategic plans, policies and operational procedures benchmarked with best practices; managing in-house team and outsource service providers to facilitate a culture of service and operational excellence bringing our students, staff, families, visitors a friendly and secured experience; maintaining budget and resources of the security unit to achieve the most cost-effective and smooth operation; supervising daily operations and providing 24-hour emergency response; and supporting major University events in incident management and crowd / traffic control.

Applicants should have a degree or equivalent with relevant substantial experience gained in educational institutions or sizable organizations and have profound knowledge in security management including loss prevention, criminal investigation, surveillance system, risk assessment, contingency planning, auditing as well as contract and vendor management to accomplish high standards in security and attend 7x24 emergency calls. The ideal candidate should have strong leadership and excellent supervisory skills to lead, guide and motivate subordinates. He/She should be a team player with a strong sense of responsibility and an excellent communicator to interact effectively with all levels of people with an excellent command of English, Cantonese and Putonghua (preferred). The appointee must hold a Security Personnel Permit.(Duration: 2 years, renewable)

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. Housing benefits will also be provided where applicable. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
