Job Purpose: The senior legal manager will act as our internal legal advisor and on a day-to-day basis, you will also take on a team leader role, manage relationships with our internal stakeholders including our departments in Luxembourg and our cross-border branches. 

Responsibilities would be, but not be limited to, the following: 

·       Manage the legal team in transactions and perform daily legal management of the banking activity including but not limited to corporate banking, transaction banking, personal banking, financial markets, debt capital markets, and investment management.

·       Assign duties to team members in Legal Department and take responsibility to provide legal advice and support to our cross-border branches. Mentor and coach junior team members.

·       Provide backup support on corporate governance and corporate secretarial issues

·       Reporting legal issues back to Beijing head office. 

·       Other tasks assigned by the Head of Department

·       LLM in Law

·       Over 9 years of work experience in Law. Prior law firm background would be appreciated but not required. 

·       Solid experience as a senior Counsel or Manager in banking, especially corporate banking/commercial banking. 

·       CCDL would be considered an advantage

·       Bilingual in French & English. Other language including Mandarin Chinese and/or German would be an asset.
