Job Role:

• Products Legal advice: including on legal issues and regulatory requirements for Hong Kong and Macau relating to all lines of business in addition to working with the business throughout the product life-cycle (i.e. development of new products, riders revamps, brochures, marketing materials, seasonal campaigns and digital marketing).
• Product-related Legal advice: advise and guide the business on all product-related matters to find appropriate solutions whilst ensuring compliance with laws and regulations; area include reinsurance agreements, TPA partners; medical service related projects, co-operation agreements, complaints
• General Legal advice: provide legal advice and support to the business and other departments on projects and general legal topics affecting the company
• Regulatory advice: to work closely and in collaboration with Compliance team matters/projects/products involving all lines of business and to ensure compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements, as well as internal compliance policies

Job Requirement:

• At least 8-10 years post-qualification experience from leading law firms with commercial or financial exposure
• Knowledge of the insurance regulatory requirements and experience in product documents of health and life products are advantageous; knowledge of non-life products is a plus
• Ability to meet or exceed deadlines, prioritise, multi-task and maintain flexibility in a fast-paced changing environment and under pressure
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; good team player and ability to prioritize
• Driven/highly motivated, autonomous, needs agility to work outside own comfort zone and pick up and analyse new topics quickly
• Coaching mindset and ability to foster more junior members of the team and collaboration mindset
• Chinese language skills are essential
