Job Description

HHYC is an HKSF Training Centre offering beginner – advanced courses to both youth & adult sailors. We are also an RYA recognized Powerboat School.We have a very active youth racing and sailing for schools program that relies on the development of our youth sailors to feed the HEBE DRAGONS racing teams with junior sailors each year. The Club also run large regattas & events on a regular basis, as well as being the home of Sailability HK & the SCALLYWAG FOUNDATION.

The Senior Instructor shall be qualified and competent to deliver all courses within the remit of the Hong Kong Sailing Federation Dinghy and HHYC Sailing Scheme, and is responsible for:

Responsibilities

• As the Senior Sailing Instructor, you'll support the Sailing Centre Manager with the coordination and delivery of the multiple sailing programs we offer schools, members, charities & the public throughout the year.
• You will be responsible for the STC operations, plus carry out boat inspections and undertake maintenance and repair actions ensuring the health and safety of staff and sailors at the club, guaranteeing the highest standards of service.
• Managing, mentoring and motivating our team of Sailing Instructors / Assistant Instructors on a daily basis

Requirements

• Holder of HKSF / RYA Senior Dinghy Sailing and Powerboat Instructor certificates
• With minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience
• Possess real passion for sailing and, a “can-do” attitude and a real focus on customer service.
• Flexibility, punctuality and reliability are just as important as integrity
