We are looking for a seasoned human resource professional to join the senior team of the Office in support of the HR development and service needs that are in alignment with the University’s human capital strategies and goals. The appointee will play a key role in the development, implementation, and review of a wide range of HR related policies, programs and processes, in particular, in areas related to staff learning and development, talent management, staff engagement, employee relations, organization effectiveness in terms of succession planning as well as compliance with employment legislations and regulatory requirements. The appointee will also work as a business partner to University stakeholders in providing a full spectrum of high quality and value-added HR services including internal HR consulting to the University community.
This is a challenging but exciting position. It offers excellent opportunity for a proven human resource professional with a passion in people management to be engaged in both ongoing and new HR initiatives to meet the University’s emerging HR needs for continuous organization development.
Applicants should have a good bachelor’s degree, preferably a higher degree, with substantial years of relevant post-qualification experience preferably in talent management, employee engagement, learning and development, succession planning and talent acquisition. Work experience/exposure in a higher education environment is most desirable. We expect the appointee shares the academic and education missions of the University, be strategic-minded, independent, and forward looking. Applicants should possess a proven track record of independently leading and driving human resources initiatives and programs. Engaging, possessing a high level of interpersonal and communication finesse, solid project management capability and strong conceptual and analytical abilities in developing solutions for implementation are essential. Proficiency in verbal and written communication in both English and Chinese and strong presentation skills are mandatory. (Duration: 2 years, renewable)
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience and highly competitive. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. Housing benefits will also be provided where applicable. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
