Education First (EF) is an international language learning company.

The EF studio in Shanghai - the hub of the global software development operation – is expecting a senior front-end engineer to build consistently pleasant user experience on Web, iOS, Android, and WeChat Mini-programs by leveraging technologies like React, React Native, NodeJs and other related technologies.

Responsibilities

• To be a member of an agile team with similar passion and technical caliber to build web/mobile, and WeChat Mini-program applications for EF customers & Staff.
• Design, prototype, implement and test solutions for web/mobile. Write unit test cases and refactor code continuously to make sure we are adhering to state-of-the-art practices in the industry.
• Collaborate with Back-end developers design and consume APIs fulfill RESTful standards.
• Leading software development team to ensure timely delivery of work to business stakeholders.
• Help us to provide improvements in the web technologies by doing continuous research of new technologies available in the ecosystem.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Technology or related field
• 5+ years hands-on coding experience of JavaScript, HTML, CSS and related browser technologies
• Problem-solving skills backed by a solid knowledge of computer science, data structure and algorithms
• Passion for creating great user experiences in collaboration with UI designers
• Fluent in Web standards and building solutions using semantic markup
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality web products.

Nice to Have

• Experience with ReactJS, VueJS, or other modern JS frameworks
• Experience with WeChat & WeChat Mini-program development, and implementations
• Experience with modern frontend compiling/building process and tools
• Experience with ES2015+.
• Experience building Single Page Apps.
• Familiarity with Git version control system
• Experience working on *nix
• Cutting edge browser technology experience on HTML5 and CSS3
• Experience with node.js/express will be a plus
• Experience with back-end language such as Java, C# will be a plus
• Demonstrated ability to learn new tools and technologies quickly
