Eaton’s Marina Power and Light Business is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our team. This position is based in Williamsburg, VA. Position Overview: The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for all accounting, financial planning and analysis functions in support of the Marina Power and Light Business Unit and operations. In this role, you will: Support the month-end close and rolling forecast processes through accounting statement preparation, financial planning / analysis, capital spending / budgeting tasks (e.g. journal entries, reporting, financial statement preparation). Analyze operational and financial data, investigate variances, identify business drivers, and evaluate their impact on planned objectives. Preform variance analysis and prepare communications to operations leadership team and functional teams. Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations in alignment with GAAP, SOX and Corporate Financial Policies. Complete year-end financial and tax reporting requirements and complete annual surveys for government agencies. Review receivables (intercompany and trade), resolve any out of balance situations with intercompany locations and investigate any aged receivable issues. Reconcile and properly account for Capital Spending in accordance with Financial Policy H-5. Maintain facility payroll system, reporting of payroll, and all payroll related inquiries. Participate in cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement of financial processes through tools/systems, automation, and standardization. Contribute to a safe work environment by fulfilling all environmental health and safety responsibilities as outlined in the MESH program, including protective equipment, safety reporting, participation in safety improvement processes, amongst other safety expectation. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution Minimum of Two (2) years of work experience in Finance/Accounting Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of locations listed will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. Preferred qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting Master’s degree in business. finance or accounting Experience in systems including SAP, Oracle Financials and Longview (Khalix) Experience working in a manufacturing plant, preferably for an engineered or configured to order business Experience with internal and external Audits Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification Position Criteria: Strong analytical skills; intellectual rigor and curiosity; problem-solving capability Strong written and oral communication skills required.
