Eaton’s Engineering Service & Systems Division (EESS) is seeking a Senior Field Service Representative. This position is based at our Honolulu, HI location. Eaton provides extensive training on our equipment to ensure your future success! This position offers overtime in addition to double-time on Sunday’s. As a Senior Field Service Representative, you will be responsible for providing field service support and consultation such as acceptance testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of low, medium, and high voltage systems. In this role you will have exposure to a variety of our equipment and configurations and work with many different clients. You will advise customers and provide technical solutions to solve customer issues. You will complete assigned jobs with assistance from lead technicians and engineers. You will also conduct required tests and calibration using test equipment and check and maintain equipment to ensure compliance with applicable standards. In this role, you will: Provide field service engineering and technical assistance to customers in areas of installation, testing, startup, maintenance, repair, training and modification of electrical power distribution equipment Self-manage assigned projects for electrical equipment; knowledge of electrical test and diagnostic equipment Deliver technical solutions to customers Performs less conventional complex engineering assignments that may involve equipment or product design, testing of materials, process studies, or research investigations Skilled proficiency in the following: Basic / Intermediate / Advanced Test Equipment Operation Basic / Intermediate / Advanced Troubleshooting Techniques Basic / Intermediate Protective Relays Basic / Intermediate PQ Measurements Disaster Recovery Rotating Machinery Protection & Control Design When we embrace the different ideas, perspectives and backgrounds that make each of us unique, we — as individuals and as a company — are stronger. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Associate degree from an accredited institution OR military experience AND Minimum 5 years of experience with power distribution and field service with high school diploma Candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future No relocation benefit is being offer for this position; you must reside within 50 miles of location listed in the posting. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation Preferred qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution Experience in testing, troubleshooting, evaluating, and servicing electrical distribution and control systems  Experience performing power quality measurements, troubleshooting, and analysis  Experience with protective relays NICET/NETA certification Why work at Eaton?
