Responsibilities:

• Research fashion trend direction – constantly staying up-to-date on what is happening in the market

• Creative and skilled in fashion design and able to interpret trends into commercial products within workable price points

• Designing Mens /Womens /Kids fashion from technical sketch through to tech pack

• Assembling tech packs and working closely with sampling team & factory for timely sample execution

• Ability to work and liaise with TDC team to solve styling / fit issues on samples

• Perform ad hoc projects as assigned by Design Manager

• Mentoring junior designers to support in their up-skilling and development

• Organize and manage samples, sample closet, fabric boards and presentation tools

• Ability to determine relevant fabrics for each brand and have knowledge of key price points versus FOB garment prices

• Assist and prepare seasonal design presentations to customers

• General organization of design area & supply ordering

• Setting direction and assisting junior design team members to maintain sample showroom for customer meetings – customer appropriate
  

Requirements:

• Degree holder in fashion design, textile or relevant disciplines.

• 5-8 years experiences in designing and developing mens and/or ladies apparel

• Hands-on experience designing and sampling multiple product categories (i.e. wovens, knits, active, denim, sweater etc.)

• Good market sense, trend aware with an elevated taste level that is commercial for our brands

• Experience across global markets a plus especially for EU, UK, Australian brands – ability to apply this market research to day to day projects in keeping with specific brand DNA

• General knowledge in all fabrication and trims – able to work independably and in conjunction with MD team and mills to select from relevant ranges

• Very organized & good communication skills – able to collaborate with multiple departments to achieve company objectives

• Strong interpersonal skills with high level of integrity

• Enthusiastic and ambitious team player who is proactive in problem solving

• Proficient in Adobe AI, Photoshop and MS office applications

• General to advanced understanding of garment construction and specs

• Proficient in AI, computer sketching, creating tech packs and sample development tracking

• Good command of spoken and written English; fluent in Mandarin
