YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities of this role, Senior Electrical Engineer, are to: 

• Define requirements for design elements and architecture of complex designs at the sub-module design element level;
• Be responsible for design and integration of medium to high complexity design elements;
• Understand and apply knowledge and experience of electrical engineering to product line and clinical applications to work activities, so as to support new products, processes or product life cycle changes;
• Understand relevant processes required to accomplish objectives;
• Lead the design reviews of complex designs at the sub-module level;
• Expand verification efforts to complex sub-module and simple system level designs;
• Plan and manage own work activities of significant technical scope with minimal direction;
• Lead teams on project activities of medium technical scope at the sub-module level;
• Be able to provide advice and mentoring to less experienced engineers or technicians;
• Develop qualifies and maintain supplier and partner relationships as directed;
• Communicate comfortably at all levels of the organization.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in relevant technical discipline with at least four years of applicable work experience or Master's degree in relevant discipline with at least two years of work experience;
• At least four years of product design and development experience;
• Demonstrated circuit design and troubleshooting skills;
• High-performance orientation with strong attention to detail;
• Excellent oral, written, and listening skills;
• Self-directed attitude towards organization and prioritization of work assignments;
• Demonstrated ability to develop creative solutions to technical challenges;
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a demonstrated systematic, analytically based approach;

• Basic knowledge of other technical disciplines.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with microcontrollers, computer peripherals, PLD’s, and analog circuitry;
• Proficiency with schematic entry tools (Orcad);
• Proficiency with circuit analysis tools;
• Proficiency with mathematical analysis tools;
• Knowledge of standards and equipment for Electrical Safety and EMC testing (IEC 60601-1, IEC 60601-1-2, or similar).
