MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES, AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Designs and develops algorithms and models using multiple programming languages to analyze large datasets to derive business insights.

• Establishes scalable, efficient processes for large-scale data analyses, model development, and model implementation.

• Present findings in easily understood ways and focuses on how data analytics fits into the bigger picture.

• Lead and develop the technical and business skills of Data Scientists.

• Define best practices and articulate a clear vision for producing data analyses and models.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES & COMPETENCIES

• Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Math or related quantitative field
• Proficiency in at least one statistics/data analysis package, such as SAS, SPS, etc.

• Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as R, SQL, Python, etc.
• Strong communication and data presentation skills; ability to communicate with data-driven stories
• Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies, tools and techniques
• Flexible and responsive; able to perform in a fast paced, dynamic work environment and meet aggressive deadlines
• Ability to work with technical and non-technical team members
• Experience with retrieving, manipulating, analyzing and interpreting large amounts of data
