Job Summary

Are you an ideas-led creative writer with the ability to transform creative communication objectives into compelling copywriting that resonates with our audience? Meyer has an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated Senior Content Strategist to contribute to our in-house creative Global Marketing team. We are looking for a creative talent who would be passionate about developing and evolving our brands’ tone of voice through different platforms, including social, e-commerce websites, packaging and print. You will need to be competent in following through on the delivery of content for marketing materials across the breadth of our online to offline communication and advertising channels.

Based in Hong Kong, this role is responsible for creating compelling content writing for the daily marketing and branding of Meyers’ communication and campaigns. Your work will be highly visible - this is a role where your ideas lead to tangible results! You must be able to think strategically and understand how to bring the tone and voice of the brand to life consistently through different formats and media. This role also requires strong storytelling and copywriting skills that are crafted to drive digital marketing initiatives and e-commerce sales globally.


In this role, you will:

  • Possess exceptional English writing skills, including the ability to follow brand guidelines to meet our brand voice with the ability to engage and excite our consumers;
  • Partner closely with the various relevant teams to devise a web content strategy that aligns with the organization’s wider goals and consumer journey-and brings to life our brand commitments while delivering a high-value and relevant web experience;
  • Develop web content operational plan to articulate web content objective, strategy and tactics, and develop a dashboard to represent performance against plan;
  • Partner with visual designers to ensure they understand and are executing on web content strategy in line with plan and in service to program KPIs;
  • Develop an effective and thoughtful bridging strategy linking our editorial/thought leadership with the consumer’s journey;
  • Work in close partnership with the team to deliver rich content experiences against the brand and consumer’s journey strategy;
  • Provide creative copywriting across our online touchpoints, including social media and e-commerce websites, to offline in-store graphics;
  • Conduct site audits, competitor assessments and best of breed strategic analysis in support of projects;
  • Review data and analytics to ensure the content is working as hard as it can;
  • Be part of a dynamic team tasked with consumer communications; participating in copywriting, editing, designing, and creation of various marketing content, with a focus on digital content;
  • Work with the team to properly understand and leverage the commercial rationale behind each project and ensure that it is suitably addressed in the content created;
  • Clearly and efficiently communicates ideas and rationale to the creative team and stakeholders;
  • Write digital content pieces (blog posts, email copy, affiliate marketing copy etc) to build an engaged community and customer following;
  • Ensure consistency in written communication across all channels in tone and message;
  • Assist with internal initiatives including corporate communications;
  • Assist with optimisation of product related content on brand and eCommerce websites (including third-party platforms);
  • Other ad-hoc projects as required.

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

You should be a talented storyteller, capable of conceptualising brand and product ideas into concise, engaging narratives. Deliver and maintain a consistent brand voice and proposition across all consumer touchpoints. Work within brand guidelines to create content for site experiences that reinforce Meyers’ voice. You will be a creative writer with demonstrable skills in marketing messages for retail brands that drive engagement, action and online sales:

  • 5+ years’ previous experience in agencies or in-house;
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, journalism, communications or a related field;
  • Strong written communication skills;
  • Knowledge of how to optimise a creative campaign for different online to offline platforms;
  • Excellent proof-reader, able to review and edit draft communication pieces before final publishing;
  • Digital Savvy, a good understanding of digital marketing and current social media trends;
  • Detail oriented and excellent time-management skills;
  • A resilient self-starter who is collaborative yet is also able to work independently;
  • An excellent grasp of grammar and the English language (you will be fluent in English written and verbal);
  • Foodie with a global mindset.
