Since 1975, our client, a subsidiary of the second French banking group, is the leading French consulting firm for managing foreign subsidiaries of French small and mid-caps. Our client now manages close to 600 subsidiaries of French companies worldwide, in its 15 offices and with a global team of 120 experts.
In China, our client advises more than 50 French clients, and executes or supervises administrative, financial, accounting, taxation and human resources tasks that arise in the course of their operations in China.
In China, our client International has offices in Hong Kong since 2002 and in Shanghai since 2005, with a Greater China team of 20 people. The consultant will work at our Corporate Management Department in Shanghai; and will report to the Business Line Manager in charge of the Corporate Management Team in Shanghai (currently a team of 6 people including the Manager).

Responsibility
Reporting relationships
The direct supervisor of the Employee is the Business Line Manager in charge of the Corporate Management Team in Shanghai (currently a team of 6 people including the Manager).
In the course of projects or missions, the Employee may supervise more junior Consultants.
Accounting
Monthly Book-keeping:
- Clear up and post the original bills sent from Client Companies (RO or WOFE)
- Prepare the voucher, ledger and financial statements in Kingdee Software
- Preparing monthly reconciliation for all accounts including bank reconciliations
- Prepare the payroll and social charges calculation
- Compilation of information for government statistical reports when required
- Maintaining an accurate and complete trail of supporting documentation
- Maintaining up-to-date, complete and systematic filing systems
- Assisting in client’s bank transaction management
Tax declaration:
- Prepare the tax declaration based on the financial statements reviewed by consultant
Year-end closing:
- Maintaining year-end papers and spreadsheets and assisting with preparation for audit
Regarding accounts that are assigned to her/him, the Employee will:
- manage relationships with clients
- if needed, prepare quotations on requests from clients and have them validated by her direct supervisor
- execute or cause to execute requests from clients
- report to her direct supervisor any significant events that might impact Pramex’s
relationship with the clients
- maintain documentation such as activity reports, timesheet, archives, etc.
- manage relationships with service providers, subcontractors and more generally any third
parties involved in engagements with her accounts
Consulting services
a) Depending on clients’ needs and requests, provide information and explain regarding
various topics related to China business environment and the differences with the French
environment.
Topics can include : HR (French vs China social benefits system, etc), tax (VAT, etc),
foreign exchange, bank management, etc.
b) Writing memo and report to clients
Incorporation
For WFOE/RO/branch incorporation services :
a) communicate with client to explain and follow up the incorporation
b) prepare the documents needed for incorporation (with subcontractors)
c) follow up all the process with client, subcontractors, local authorities, bank
Execution structuring
Under the guidelines provided by her/his direct supervisor, the Employee will participate in the
structuring of SH CM activity by drafting procedures, by providing suggestions for improving
productivity and limiting operational and legal risks, and by implementing the procedures.
Continued improvement
The Employee will seek to maintain and broaden her technical knowledge and expertise on
issues like but not limited to accounting (IFRS and Chinese Gaap), financial, taxation,
administration of representative offices and WOFE, human resources management and corporate
laws. As much as possible, she/he will share her/his expertise and look for training more junior
staff.
Business development
The Employee will look for opportunities to gain new business for existing clients and to attract
new clients. She/he will also participate in the structuring of new services for clients.
The Employee will prepare proposals for services as requested by clients. He/she also needs to
be proactive on his/her accounts and prepare proposals that may be of interests for his/her
accounts, under the supervision of his/her manager.
The Employee will participate in the improvement of current proposal templates.
Other functions and responsibilities
The Employee will also perform other duties as assigned by her direct supervisor. Those duties include but are not limited to:
- To perform due diligence, audits and special missions
- To actively participate in engagements of other departments such as corporate finance assignments, market studies, etc. and assisting with preparation for audits .
Requirement
To be able to perform those tasks, the Consultant must:
- be fluent in Mandarin, English (oral and written). Fluent French speaker is a plus.
- have at least 5 years of experience in finance/audit/accounting
- have a graduate or undergraduate education background
- previous exposure to French companies and France business environment
- have a strong command in Excel, Powerpoint, Word and accounting software like Kingdee.
- have good oral and written communication skills as extensive contacts with clients and third parties are required.
- ability to manage a portfolio of 8-10 clients
