with salary from $36,765 to $42,545 per month. The starting salary will depend on relevant qualification and experience.
Entry Requirements:
Candidate should have/be:
(a) A Hong Kong bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, preferably in Marketing/ Public Relations/ Media & Communications or other related disciplines;
(b)Attained Level 2 in the two language papers (Use of Chinese (UC) and Use of English (UE)) in the Common Recruitment Examination (CRE), or equivalent[Note];
(c)A minimum of four years’ post-qualification working experience in film liaison or related field in the film industry; and
(d)Proficient in spoken Cantonese, English and Putonghua; and good communication and interpersonal skills.
[Note: For non-civil service appointment purpose -
i)Level 5 or above in Chinese Language of the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE); or Grade C or above in Chinese Language and Culture or Chinese Language and Literature of the Hong Kong Advanced Level Examination (HKALE), are accepted as equivalent to Level 2 in the UC paper of the CRE; and
ii)Level 5 or above in English Language of the HKDSEE; or Grade C or above in Use of English of the HKALE; or Grade C or above in English Language of the General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level) (GCE A Level), are accepted as equivalent to Level 2 in the UE paper of the CRE.]
Duties:
(a)To liaise with government departments/ public bodies in facilitating location shooting in Hong Kong and conduct review on facilitation practices for the betterment of Film Services Office’s services to the film industry;
(b)To give advice to local and overseas filmmakers on matters relating to location shooting in Hong Kong and to assist filmmakers in seeking relevant approvals for location shooting;
(c)To explore new venues for location filming, maintain the website of Film Services Office dedicated to facilitation of location filming and to supervise clerical staff in regular updating of webpages;
(d)To assist in organising film festivals in the Mainland and overseas cities;
(e)To co-ordinate programmes on audience development;
(f)To conduct research on location filming, film market, etc.; to train new recruits and give administrative support to senior officers; and
(g)To perform other duties as assigned by seniors officers.
Note:
- Subject to the exigency of services, the appointee may be required to work irregular hours and overtime, including Saturday, Sunday and Public Holiday.
- Shortlisted candidates may be required to attend written examination and/ or interview.
Terms of Appointment: Successful candidate will be employed on non-civil service contract terms for 24 months.
Fringe Benefits: A gratuity may be granted at the end of contract period if the contract is satisfactorily completed with consistently high standard of performance and conduct. Such gratuity, if granted, plus any contribution made by the Government to a Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) Scheme in respect of the appointee as required by the MPF Ordinance (Cap. 485), will be equal to 15% of the total basic salary received during the contract period. Rest days, statutory holidays (or substituted holidays), annual leave, sick leave, etc., where appropriate, will be granted in line with the provisions in the Employment Ordinance.
