Job Description & Summary

A career within Corporate Tax services, will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients meet their tax obligations while managing the impact tax has on their business. You’ll advise clients on their local and overseas tax affairs, while acting as a strategic consultant related to business analysis, managing working capital, and profit sharing for partners. You’ll also help organisations understand the pricing implications of goods and services between related parties, as well as providing advice on tax implications of deals.

Our team helps our clients improve their tax function to control risk and facilitate better decision making. You’ll focus on helping businesses with tax strategy, ensuring tax compliance, increasing post tax profits, and providing application support to achieve the best corporate tax practices.

Responsibility:

  • Prepare or review US federal and state Corporation, Partnership income tax returns and otherwise assist in other tax compliance matters;
  • Assist the managers to correspond with the US Tax Authorities on clients' tax matters;
  • Perform research and analysis on tax technical issues and documenting the research and analysis;
  • Coordinate and work with assurance team to assist in US GAAP tax provision (ASC 740) engagements;
  • Coach and supervise tax associates in the group; and
  • Assist Managers or Partners on tax consulting engagements.

Directly reports to US Tax Consulting group senior managers and managers

Requirement:

  • A recognised accounting or equivalent degree from an accredited university in the US or a law degree from an accredited law school in the US;
  • AICPA qualified or admitted to a US State Bar is preferred;
  • A minimum of three years’ experience in US corporate tax matters;
  • A native speaker of Mandarin Chinese is preferred;
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills; and
  • Team-oriented.
