Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. ARI Supply Chain is focused on continued ground-breaking change in plant capacity and production planning. The Capacity & Production Planning team within Supply Chain seeks a highly motivated and analytical individual who will contribute to our pursuit of continuous improvement in run rates and production capability at the site. As a member of this department, you will be an integral contributor to a successful team dedicated to:

  • Leveraging recently enhanced plant modeling software to identify process bottlenecks

  • Leading collaborative efforts with Manufacturing and F&E to model production plan scenario changes

  • Strengthening multi-site business processes and relationships for coordinated network capacity modeling

  • Determining optimal scenarios to maintain sufficient drug substance inventory levels for an ever-increasing portfolio of drug substances manufactured at the plant

  • Creating plans which:

  • Ensure the optimal mix of drug substances are manufactured at the site to support inventory objectives

  • Enhance plant efficiency in the manufacturing of this optimal mix of drug substances

  • Increase annual KGs of drug substance manufactured

Responsibilities

  • Use VirtECS plant simulation software to maintain accurate plant models of 10+ products

  • Evaluate new run rate scenarios for drug substance manufactured at ARI

  • Identify bottlenecks and work with F&E to propose engineering solutions to enable faster run rates at ARI

  • Collaborate with Manufacturing and Engineering to reduce risk associated with faster run rates

  • Support ARI’s multi-stage Capacity Improvement Initiatives (Currently Phase 2)

  • Support in-depth action items to verify ARI’s ability to run products at faster run rates with modeled engineering changes

  • Support labor models to ensure efficient & optimal levels of human resources in support of modeled run rates

  • Model changeover scenarios with objective of minimizing lost time due to product changeovers

  • Analyze yield improvement projects to determine potential run rate impact

  • Advance and evolve plant models to include new products and plants

  • Continually refine documentation around plant constraints and modeling knowledge

  • Support future upgrades of the VirtECS simulation software

Basic Qualifications

  • Master’s degree OR

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of Manufacturing or Operations experience OR

  • Associate’s degree and 6 years of Manufacturing or Operations experience OR

  • High school diploma / GED and 8 years of Manufacturing or Operations experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4+ years of biotech or pharmaceutical operations/manufacturing/process development/supply chain experience

  • Knowledge of biologics manufacturing processes and end-to-end supply chain

  • Manufacturing experience in both PPH and purification operations. Additional experience in solutions prep (buffer/media) is also preferred.

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing equipment and processes

  • Experience working with PI and MES

  • Knowledge of plant modeling and optimization.

  • High-level critical thinking and strong analytical skills

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Ability to quickly learn capacity analysis software

  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities, priorities, and tasks with little direction
