Scientist/ Investigator (HTS Assay Development & Screening)

Key Responsibilities

• Develop "automation-friendly" microtiter plate-based assay to ensure characterization and identification of small compounds from High-Throughput Screening (HTS).

• Design，develop and validate various biochemical and cellular assays and adapt to automated lab equipment for HTS.
• Biochemical assays include ELISA, alpha assay, FRET, HTRF, FP, TR-FRET, all sorts of functional readout of enzymatic activity and any innovative assay formats.
• Establish cellular assays, such as creation of stable mammalian cell lines, reporter gene assay, high content imaging.

• Data analysis and management using standard software as well as customized sophisticated software.

• Communicate assay/screening results effectively with teams as necessary.

• Evaluate and integrate new technologies into drug discovery process.

Minimum Requirements

• Ph.D./Master’s degree in biology or related field, at least 3 years working experience in assay development and high-throughput screening, preferentially in an industrial setting.
• Hands-on experience in biochemical and cellular assay development and screening.
• Familiar with screening automation and software.
• The candidate must be highly self-motivated and have good communication skills to work in a collaborative team environment.
• Oral and written skills in English is required.
• Scientific integrity is a must, candidate should be professional in maintaining lab notebooks and electronic files.
