What you will do

Solution Architects are responsible for crafting scalable solutions on the Salesforce Platform. Solution Architects work with Product Owners, Platform Architects, and within the broader technology team to design software and services that are robust — crafted for re-use and extensibility.

The focus of the Solution Architect is to design products that leverage the Salesforce platform capabilities in a manner that is scalable, secure, and aligns to best practices.

Solution and Platform Architects collaborate with Amgen's product teams during project planning and implementation to share their extensive knowledge of the Salesforce platform and product suite. Combined with their previous experience in technical architecture, enterprise integration, and business solution implementation, they directly drive toward the best possible business solutions that meet and exceed our customers' needs while maintaining compliance with regulatory and best practice requirements. They paint a solution vision, architect both the system and the implementation approach, and then watch it change the status quo.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to a program vision while advising and articulating program/project strategies on enabling technologies.

• Conceptualizing, communicating, and executing ideas within a tight schedule, with particular emphasis on serving as a technical lead on development projects with on-shore and off-shore components, or a team lead or architect across multiple software development projects or workstreams.

• Provide guidance on application and integration development best practices, Enterprise Architecture standards, functional and technical solution architecture & design, environment management, testing, and Platform education!

• Identification and pro-active management of risk areas and dedication to seeing an issue through to complete resolution!

• Take on key product team implementation issues and demonstrate ability to aim to successful resolution. Lead the evaluation of business and technical requirements from a senior level.

• Review releases and roadmaps from Salesforce and evaluate the impacts to current applications, orgs, and solutions.

• Negotiate solutions to sophisticated problems with both the product teams and third-party service providers.

• Establish relationships and work with product teams; chip in to broader goals and growth beyond the scope of a single or your current project.

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree

OR

Master’s degree and 3 years of experience

Or

Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience

Or

Associate’s degree and 10 years of experience

Or

High school diploma / GED and 12 years of experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years leading complex CRM and Marketing software projects.

• Minimum 3 + years implementing Salesforce Marketing Cloud technology based applications.

• Knowledge and experience with both waterfall and agile project methodologies.

• Strong executive presence and ability to communicate effectively with CXO level.
