As a Sales Support Specialist you will be responsible for providing professional & prompt support to ABB frontend organizations worldwide in the areas of daily sales, ordering and delivery process of robot products as well as in supporting front-end sales with meeting their long-term sales plans and activities, to encourage profitable sales growth from whole ABB value chain and win market shares, in Robotics & Discrete Automation Business Area in Shanghai, China.
Reporting to the Sales Support Manager, you will provide input & analysis about market segment and price trend to help global business line management setup / adjust pricing strategy to China and all Asian countries.
Your responsibilities
- Being responsible for the Sales Support for a subset of countries within Asian market. Achieving profitability target in terms of end-to-end margin and annual revenue, by providing professional data analysis & advice to global / local business line management to pursue every profitable order and gain more market share.
- Being responsible for a correct Transfer Price and margin in short-term, and proper supervision on sales price trend in the long-term, as price management.
- Promoting / implementing POM (Pricing Operation Model) roll-out (and other tools) to Asian countries by helping frontend to setup an efficient pricing approval process, and meanwhile build up a strategic pricing model for responsible regions/Business Lines.
- Providing overall rolling forecast monthly with daily dialogue to assigned region, and monthly forecast meeting with responsible regions/business lines opportunity, support FE better OI forecast accuracy. Driving business development per overall market sense & identify new market.
- Communicating & supporting frontend colleagues in terms of quotation, ordering, first-line technical questions, etc. at daily basis, with support from backend technical teams within and/or outside of our own department
- Working closely with frontend team to understand market such as market demands, customer request, competition status, SWOT situation, market prices, etc., and bring feedbacks with analysis & provide proposal
- Driving business & internal trainings for products / applications, with support from local management, and cooperate with product managers, segment managers, service managers. Developing market plans, product introductions, new product launch, etc. together with management, maximizing the sales of the products
- Traveling together with frontend colleagues to visit existing / potential customers and/or partners, to help frontend to grasp orders from the market. Driving and supporting market events for assigned product and / or region
Your background
- 2 to 3 years in sales & marketing / technical sales support / proposal / pricing analysis / process position for investment manufacturing equipment or its consumers in multi-national / foreign invested company working experience
- Technical related working experience and Industrial robot sales or operation related working experience
- Good computer skills in MS Windows / Office and other applications. Knowledge and experience in data analysis tool / programming / C++ and SAP
- University degree majored in mechanical engineering / robotics / industrial automation or other engineering degrees
- Good interpersonal communication & presentation skill. Must be proactive, initiative and data analytical ability
- A good team player and strong ownership, Customer orientated but result driven and willing to travel worldwide
- Fluent in Mandarin and English, both oral and writing
