As a Sales Support Specialist you will be responsible for supporting the sales organization and customers throughout the proposal process by preparing technical descriptions of the applied products and technology, determining costs, preparing final documentation, and serving as a key technical resource in the assigned area, in Process Automation Business Area in Shanghai, China.

Reporting to the Sales Support Manager, you will work closely with engineering, R&D, and project management departments to optimize technical solutions.

Your responsibilities

  • Undertaking sales technical support responsibilities, and providing technical support in both the digital factory and the power generation and water business automation fields
  • Supporting sales to determine the most technically suitable and cost-effective solutions and preparing high-demand quotations
  • Providing technical support during technical meetings, product demonstrations and negotiations, and providing training related to products, solutions, and services
  • Preparing technical bids, technical clarification and Q&A, project quotation, contract technical negotiation
  • Providing information to the risk review process in accordance with ABB policies and participating in risk review and evaluation
  • Analyzing customer needs and competitor's quotations through general market information and information provided by sales organizations
  • Working closely with engineering, R&D, and project management departments to optimize technical solutions

Your background

  • A bachelor’s degree or above, major in automation, or computer science
  • 3 years of work experience in automation or IT technology, digitalization, and served as a senior expert in the IT integration
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Fluency in English, written and spoken
  • Adapting to flexible working system and frequent business trips
