As a Sales Support Manager, you will be responsible for adapting and implementing sales support strategy for designated area in accordance with the global support strategy. Ensuring technical and commercial support for internal and external customers, in Robotics & Discrete Automation Business Area in Shanghai, China.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager I, you will oversee estimations and bids and proposals ensuring alignment with ABB standards and targets. Proactively leading, developing and coaching the Sales Support team.
Your responsibilities
- Creating, implementing and reviewing local sales support strategy.Defining key targets and ensures these are achieved for the customer support
- Overseeing the preparation of proposals through internal and external resources. Ensuring all proposals follow relevant ABB procedures and guidelines as well as legal requirements
- Ensuring most competitive offers taking into account the market situation and customer’s conditions. Identifying which approach (e.g. direct sales, consortium, or channel) can be applied to better serve the customer
- Overseeing the validation of terms and conditions (commercial, technical, legal, pricing) in each offer
- Assigning and allocating internal and external resources for technical and commercial support and proposal preparation
- Supporting bid/no bid analyses and decisions. Participating in project risk review processes
- Ensuring support to the Sales organizations during the technical meetings, product presentations and negotiations with customers and providing technical support and clarification as needed
- Ensuring (with HR Manager support) that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed. Coaching, motivating and developing direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies. Driving and ensuring know-how sharing and cross-collaboration
Your background
- 7 years of work experience in sales support of packaging solutions, familiar with traditional manufacturing, food industry, industry robot with minimum 3 years management experience
- Managing daily work, setting up KPI, training and etc, Coaching team member on capability and business view
- A Bachelor degree or above in mechanical engineering, package & manufacturing automation or Logistic automation background is extra point
- Having excellent expression, communication, organization, coordination skills, teamwork
- Team management and business trips experience is preferred
- Fluency in English writing and speaking skills
