As a Sales Specialist, you will be accountable for promoting the sales of ABB analytical product in allocated market, focusing on volume, mix and profitability targets in Process Automation Business Area, in Shanghai, Hangzhou, China.

Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will use your experience and drive to build enduring customer relationships through excellent service.

Your responsibilities

• Working with marketing and other departments to prepare sales plans and bids, ensuring technical and financial accuracy
• Working with the wider sales team to identify and develop new market opportunities
• Using your knowledge of customers’ needs and ABB’s solutions to determine effective solutions for customers
• Monitoring customer and market trends along with the marketing team to develop effective marketing activities
• Taking initiative in following sales strategies, and taking action in the continuous implementation of the defined strategy
• Ensuring achievement of agreed sales targets and margins with a structured follow up and reporting process
• Developing, maintaining and sharing detailed knowledge of the customer’s business strategy, purchasing behavior, organization, decision-makers, business drivers, economic trends, and competition

Your background

• 10 years in Strategic and value-based Sales experience
• Experience in Consumer segments and knowledge of integrated automation systems/End Users (like P&G, Unilever, Mondelez etc.)
• A proven ability to develop and manage customer relationships
• A bachelor’s degree or above
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken
