Headquartered in Munich, Germany, the Client is a leading worldwide company that designs, manufactures and markets card personalization, card mailing systems and ID card printers with an extensive product portfolio that includes innovative central and instant issuance solutions for Financial, Government, Healthcare, Corporate, Education, Transport, Telecommunication, and Retail applications, such as passports, driving licences, or access control cards. The client operates through its offices around the world and supports its thousands of customers with its global network of certified resellers, value added distributors and integration partners. Sales Manager, east China


General responsibilities:

  • Enable partners to resell the Client’s identification products and successfully implement them
  • Develop new channel partners for the Client’s products. Assume accountability for achieving defined revenue targets. Call on existing and potential clients to identify their current or perspective needs and provide information about the Client’s products/services including demonstrations and quotations
  • Develop and implement channel and distribution strategies for the region that ensure attainment of company sales goals and profitability
  • Develop leads to potential new customers through various sources
  • Grow the company’s customer base through opening new accounts and develop a pipeline of opportunities through regular client meetings
  • Consult with partners to analyze and understand their customer’s business needs and determine which of the Client’s products and services best fit their requirements
  • Research and develop sales presentations to effectively relate the Client’s solutions to potential customers' needs. Help partners to develop business proposals for presentation to clients, assemble expertise from other departments to ensure that all technical areas are covered
  • Lead customers through the sales process as trusted advisor and by providing outstanding support
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of the Client’s products/services, sales objectives and strategies, pricing and delivery/installation policies and practices to be able to respond to customer requests for information. Manage overall client relationships with overall responsibility for the maintenance and development of business from existing clients
  • Leverages marketing activities/events as well as attending relevant industry events and trade shows to ensure the Client’s brand recognition within the marketplace
  • Review impact of new product releases, new product features, delivery schedules, and competitor offerings with sales personnel
  • Maintain accurate records of all pricings and sales activities
  • Manage and ensure accurate and updated forecast
  • Home-office based within mainland China
  • Up to 70% travel and fieldwork in the region. Must be able to travel by car, train, airplane, etc. as needed

Requirements:

  • Successful sales experience in China within the Desktop Issuance industry
  • A proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Strong service mentality to meet the client's interests at the heart of the relationship
  • Ability to establish a dialogue with all levels of the client organization, including executives
  • Existing relationships with decision makers in channel partners
  • Awareness of target markets and product offerings of competitors
  • New partner development experience
  • Genuine desire to succeed in sales role
  • Excellent written and oral English and Chinese language skills
  • Strong negotiation and analytical skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Education: Bachelor degree or equivalent
